The Sulik name has been synonymous with excellence in long-term care for over 35 years. Founder, Ed Sulik, began in this industry in 1967 and remains actively involved. Ed is considered one of the industry's leading experts on Medicare and Medicaid and has participated with both programs since their inception.
While Ed remains active in the company and provides a tremendous resource because of his vast experience and knowledge, the leadership has transitioned to the second generation Suliks. Pete Sulik, President and CEO, held his first long-term care job at age ten. Imminently qualified to lead this organization, Pete holds a Masters in Business Administration and a BS in Management. He is also a Licensed Nursing Facilities Administrator, Certified Assisted Living Administrator and the past President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators. Pete Sulik is a Texas A&M Association of Former Students Class of '79- Century Club Member.
Prior to forming Sulik Health Care Services, Pete was the administrator for twelve years of an exemplary center that began as a 60 bed long-term care facility and under the Sulik family leadership, grew into a 246 bed skilled nursing complex which also included a 44 unit adult day-care, a 100 unit children's day-care and a 5,100 square foot rehabilitation center.
Pete Sulik also serves on several state committees for the Texas Health Care Association where he is a former Board Member. Pete's extensive experience includes successful management of as many as ten facilities simultaneously and the development of several centers from concept through construction and licensing to full occupancy.
Pete's wife, Kolleen Sulik, Vice President for Community Relations and Employee Liaison, is a Registered Nurse who is also responsible for preadmission screening to assure prospective residents location into the appropriate facility.
Julie Sulik, is married to Pete's brother John Sulik, and was Pete's Director of Nursing Services at the previous facility where together with their staff, they maintained a census for the past eight years averaging above 96%. Their last Annual Survey at this facility was Deficiency Free. As Sulik's Vice President for Nursing Services, Julie is responsible for implementation of all nursing services. Along with Pete, Julie has participated in national seminars on the implementation of the Medicare Prospective Payment System, and also Medicare's Nursing Home Demonstration Project.
John Sulik, Chief Information Officer Sulik Health Care Services, also a graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Management before becoming a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator.
Lynda Beard Sulik, Secretary-Treasurer and Chief Administrative Officer, is responsible for all accounting functions and is Sulik's Management Information Systems director. With her extensive background, Lynda brings a wealth of accounting and information systems experience to assure state-of-the-art functionality within and between our facilities along with State and Federal Governmental entities as well as Insurance providers and other suppliers.
